With the evolution of telemedicine, pediatric radiology has emerged as one of the core fields that require expert opinions within a relatively short span of time. PRA was founded on the principle that the pediatric population is best served by having imaging interpreted by pediatric radiologists.

Another salient feature is the ability of PRA to provide Final/ Definitive Reports within a relatively short period of time thus ensuring that critical results are not missed and left unchecked over-night. Critical Results are called in by our radiologists directly to the ED staff physician thus simulating an on-site radiologist. This in turn translates to a superior level of care for the pediatric population as well as enhanced respect for the facility. With Final reports costing on average just 10% more than preliminary reports, it makes more sense for facilities to opt for the former when deciding upon teleradiology support.

PRA also works closely with the Client and takes time to understand the core needs. We do not believe in transplanting our faculty into an existing department thereby replacing the current one; on the contrary, we believe in working synergistically with the existing setup to result in an overall enhancement of services. The range of services provided vary from basic ‘digital’ locums help to help for a faculty member on leave to adding night-time support complementing the existing daytime faculty. Coverage is also available for emergency staff shortages, vacations and medical leaves. We truly partner with our clients to ensure a holistic service is offered to your patients.

Being accredited by the Joint Commission, PRA also has a strict Quality Assurance (QA) process in place to ensure that reports are not only timely but also adhere to the ACR reporting guidelines. We offer Clients direct access to our QA staff and work closely with their QA team to ensure that all aspects of the reporting process are analyzed and improvements, if any, are immediately implemented.

PRA also develops, deploys and maintains its own PACS and RIS software. Our IT engineers are available to ensure 100% connectivity with our clients and provide advanced HL7 integration at no cost to the Client. When a PRA report is sent back to the Client’s EMR, it automatically becomes available within their system network to all concerned care providers, thus ensuring continuity and excellence of care.

Complementing all of the above are our Support Center and IT staff, which are available 24/7 to ensure 99.9% uptime for our services. With live people manning all telephone and IT systems, we ensure that when clients call us, they immediately get the response they need. Apart from providing access via telephone, under certain circumstances, we also provide direct radiologist access via pagers for emergency call backs.
